Je wordt gevraagd voor een kort interview. Kijk je dan in de lens of kijk je naar de interviewer? Die vraag wordt mij regelmatig gesteld. Het antwoord is simpel: kijk niet in de lens!
Bij een interview kijk je de interviewer aan. Die staat meestal naast de camera. Je negeert dus de camera! En of de vragensteller wel of niet in beeld komt maakt daarbij niet uit.
Voor de kijkers is dit ook de meest prettige situatie. We zijn het op deze manier gewend.

Today the latest version of Final Cut Pro X was released (10.0.6) with a much anticipated update: RED R3D file support. From now on we can edit RED footage directly on the FCP-X timeline. And there is even support for the RED Rocket accelerator card. Of course I will download the new version as soon as possible and start testing this! Stay tuned and find out!
It finally arrived! The Nikon mount for my RED Scarlet film camera. That means I can put all my trusty Nikon lenses on this beautiful camera. From 10mm fish-eye up till 600mm tele. Wides, zooms and 1.4 primes. Imagine the endless creative possibilities!

And although the Nikon lenses are meant for photography work (and usability for video can be a bit awkward) the quality, sharpness and depth-of-field is incredible. I'm looking forward to start filming.
Onder grote belangstelling van vliegtuigspotters, media en andere liefhebbers landde vandaag op Schiphol de allereerste lijnvlucht met een Airbus A380. Emirates vlucht EK147 uit Dubai kwam iets voor 13:00 aan op landigsbaan 18C.

Note 2: this workflow is the result of testing, personal taste, more testing and experimenting. This is by no means a scientific approach or a technical review!
Note 3: Why FCP-X? Well, I've been working with FCP 6/7 for many years. After a short sidestep to Adobe Premiere CS5.5 I switched back to FCP-X for easy of use and editing speed.
Note 4: FCP-X release 10.0.6 finally supports R3D files and Red Rocket! Nevertheless my workflow stays in place because working with 4K files is too taxing on an average computer.
